Brand New Small Block Ford Small Cap HEI Distributor. This distributor is also know as a Ready-To-Run distributor. Distributor cap is BLUE. DISTRIBUTOR comes with a 3 YEAR WARRANTY!! This distributor requires an external 12 volt coil for electronic ignition and it IS NOT included in this listings. Distributor works on SMALL BLOCK FORD 351W from 1969 thru the mid 1980’s that are carbureted. If you want this distributor & spark plug wires set with a coil, please check out my other listings. I have the distributor in Red, Blue or Black and the coils in Red, Blue, Black or Chrome. I also have this same electronic distributor with a female (points style) cap. It has the classic “Points style” look, but is completely electronic. The female cap style distributor and wires are both available in Red, Blue or Black and the coil is chrome.
**PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST RUN EXTERNAL COIL WITH ATLEAST 40,000 VOLT OUTPUT WITH THIS DISTRIBUTOR and it is NOT included. This Small Cap HEI Ready-To-Run distributor is made for easy installation. Distributor Features:
-Small Cap allows for easy fire wall clearance, especially for Pre-1975 that do may not have the room for a large size HEI.

– Much better performance, over points, mostly due to the better combustion of unleaded fuel, as this was the primary reason for the development of electronic ignition.
– Point dwell changes as points wear out, causing your timing to advance dramatically. This brings your engine much closer to detonation, not to mention hard starting, and poor performance.
– Over all engine life is much longer with electronic ignition over points.
Also Includes BLUE PACKARD WIRE 8mm High Performance Spiral Core Spark Plug wires for SMALL BLOCK FORD applications. Spark plug wires have 135 degree (sometimes called 45 degree) spark plug boots and 90 degree distributor boots that are already factory assembled. Theses 135 Degree boots are very popular with the Small Block Ford 351W Engines. The gray spark plug boots are high temp spark plug boots that can withstand 50
degrees more heat than a standard spark plug boot. The wires are only 270 Ohms per foot and made in the USA!! The lower the ohms, the higher the performance!!
The stock application listing for these wires are below, but in general the included set of BLUE wires will work on Ford 351W using the HEI (male tower) distributor that is also included in this listing. These wires are already factory assembled for these engine sizes so you DO NOT cut and crimp on the distributor ends. The photo shows 3 coil wires, but the listing includes either one coil wire that has a female end that attached to a male coil or 2 male coil wires that go in a female coil. If you order, please email us and let us know what coil wire you want. If a coil wire is not specified, we will include the two coil wires that go to a female coil.
