This is a great way to get away from the computer controls. PLEASE NOTE: This distributor has the 1/2″ longer shaft compared to the standard Small Block Ford HEI to allow proper engagement. The length below the teeth on the gear on this distributor is 1 1/2″ long compared to the standard Small Block Ford which is 1″. To avoid unnecessary returns, please check your current distributor to confirm you need the longer shaft.The distributor comes with a BLUE cap and 65,000 volt coil. THIS unit is a simple HEI distributor with coil in the cap. Very easy to install. One wire hookup. Comes with instructions and FREE Pigtails!! Spark plug wires have 135 degree (sometimes called 45 degree) spark plug boots. The wires are long and you cut to the length you need and crimp on the included 90 degree distributor boots. Theses 135 Degree boots are very popular with the Small Block Ford 5.0 302 Engines. The gray spark plug boots are high temp spark plug boots that can withstand 50 degrees more heat than a standard spark plug boot. The wires are only 270 Ohms per foot and made in the USA!!
